THE EMPATH'S GUIDE: HOW I BECAME A RESILIENT AND PROUD EMPATH....

Updated: Aug 21, 2024

Imagine a life where every emotion feels like your own, where the energy around you can either lift you up or weigh you down. This is the reality of being an empath. But what if you had known the tools and wisdom earlier that could have transformed how you navigate this unique gift?

Join me as I share the crucial lessons I wish I had learned earlier, offering valuable guidance for you, empaths seeking to thrive in an often-overwhelming world.

In a world where it’s increasingly important to raise and protect your energy, especially as an empath, these lessons are vital.

In my twenties began to notice after coming home back from work- as a teacher that I would be tired, but not psychically tired, I was mentally exhausted. I addressed this to the type of job, but this persisted. I felt the same exhaustion after visiting the city or spending time with friends. Often, I felt drained and overwhelmed by the emotions of others, as if they were my own.

Fast forward to my forties, working as an advisor, I found that I could feel the energy in my workspace. This negative energy and the behavior of some colleagues began to affect me more and more. My senses grew sharper—I could read people’s energy before they even open their mouth.

And the environment I am working in, became more toxic. I felt increasingly tired mentally and emotionally.

I began to view my empathic nature more as a curse than a gift over the past two decades. I sought techniques to stop absorbing others' energy and the negative energy of the workspace. I couldn’t take it anymore and eventually I experienced burnout. During my recovery, I discovered methods to protect and raise my energy.

I noticed positive things too: I feel how some situations can develop and warn my manager or colleagues. Some of them listen. But often they didn’t.

This isn’t your typical empath guide. You won’t just read about prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, and embracing solitude—things I’ve been doing and love.

You can find that on online. Instead, let’s dive deeper!

Soooo, the most important things I wish I knew earlier are....

1.    How to Protect my Energy

o   Energy Absorption:

I REALIZED: I AMM ENERGY…

Energy goes flows attention goes therefore, I choose IF I will react.

I realized I was given my energy away like it was nothing…..

This is still a process for me… Learning to choose when and how to react to others is still

a process, but it’s far better than before.

And I used techniques to stop absorbing other people’s emotions.

It took me 2-3 months to master this, but I wish I had known it 25-30 years ago.

o   Environment Protection:

To guard against a negative environment, I use a crystal called tektite, along with other

spiritual tools. (Be careful there are a lot of fake crystals out there)

2.    How to Raise my Energy.

Raising your vibration can be instantaneous. I have a free report: “7 Little-Known High-

Vibrational Secrets to Keep You in a High Vibration,” which you can find below.

The lessons I have learned kept me in a high vibration. It was a process of personal

growth and spiritual insights, achieved through brutally honest self-evaluation.

 3.    Self-assessment: Do I really love myself?!

A Resilience and Proud Empath

Am I prioritizing myself? The answer was yes, but not enough.

There was certainly room for improvement.

Loving myself more meant: don’t let others exploit my talent without (fair) compensation.

Loving myself more also implied:

4.    Emotional detachment from my toxic work

The negative energy of the environment I was working in and the lack of appreciation,

in fact my talent was used were depleted my energy. My work was given to consults so

they can use it as input to their work and even get paid alottt of money.

I felt undervalued. That’s why I made the decision to love myself more, respect myself,

appreciate and honor my God-given talent!

No one will ever take advantage of my talent. I will honor my talents!

I will use it to serve others!

Maybe it is a toxic relationship in your case.

5.    Stop with the urge of being right

When you have the urge to be right, that's the EGO talking.

Listen carefully: the messages, the warnings, the feelings that you get regarding an

event or people is FOR YOU!! God, the Universe gave it to YOU!

Not others, it is meant for YOU!

IF you notice that your surroundings aren’t open for your insights, KEEP THEM TO

YOURSELF!!!

Letting go of the need to be right is a way to protect your energy.

6.    Stop with the NEED to control Uncontrollable Events.

Is also the EGO.

Oh boy, when I stopped resisting and trying to control what I couldn’t, I felt lighter.

       It was a process.

All this time I felt like I was swimming against the stream……

Creating so much resistance.

I let go of the resistance, it was liberating!

7.      No obligation to “Save” Others

I am not a world savior.

Often times, as an empath you (might) feel obligated to help others, even save others.

I realized: EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN SPIRITUAL JOURNEY!!

The spiritual insights you receive is given to youuu, not to other people.

Your first obligation is yourself! IF someone needs your help, they will come to you.

Protect yourself and don’t lose yourself in helping others!

It may sound egocentric, but can you pour from an empty glass?!

So, fill your own cup first and BE CAREFULL WHO YOU GIVE YOUR ENERGY!

Use your energy effectively!

So there you have it.

With the steps above I became a proud and resilient empath.

I conquered the burnout I had and I master my mental-wellbeing!

You might have noticed that despite taking care of myself, making time for self-care, and

setting boundaries, I still experienced burnout. There’s more to it than just the standard

advice you find online.
