This is a topic I have wanted to talk about for a long time. Maybe the darkness has been holding. Over the past few years, I have felt a shift—a heavier, denser, and lower energy becoming the norm. Sadly, more and more people are starting to acknowledge this truth, confirming the reality we’re living in: a world that feels toxic. I can speak from my own feelings and experiences over the past years. I have noticed this toxicity everywhere: in interactions, traffic, politics, families, schools, corporate world......
I will answer the question: Why are we living in darker times?
As the title suggests, this guide will provide you with actionable steps to break free from this toxic world, along with bonus transformative exercises.
But remember, transformation only happens when you take steps!

Disconnected and Desensitized
Spiritually, especially after COVID, I’ve observed that many people are disconnected and desensitized. They are no longer in touch with their spirit, their soul, or their inner voice. Too many people are living in a low vibrational state, and it manifests in various ways...
1. People Are Becoming Like Zombies with Their Devices
Many people are no longer present. Let me call it a "device" because even if you don't use your phone for social media, we all know how much time we spend on it. The more you use social media in an improper way, the more it will consume you. You start comparing yourself to others and, instead of leveling up, you begin to feel bad about yourself, filled with jealousy and envy.
I’ve even wondered if there’s some unseen signal coming from these phones that makes people addicted. Seriously. Just recently, I saw two people acting like zombies in traffic—one on a scooter, looking down at her phone while riding, and another man in a car, looking at his phone while driving forward. It struck me how disconnected and dangerous it’s becoming.
I couldn't help but think, "People are getting crazier every day." It saddens me, in a way.
If it weren't for my business, I wouldn’t even use social media.
A few times a year, I gather with family, including my nephews in their twenties.
They rarely engage in conversation. Instead, their faces are glued to their phones.
I can’t help but think, you’re missing out on so much. You could be engaging with someone who might offer you advice or wisdom. When I was younger, I always valued the company of older people, learning from their life experiences.
2. People Are Becoming More Impatient
For example, at the supermarket checkout, the person behind me stood so close I felt uncomfortable. I asked, "What’s your intention? Are you going to pay for my groceries?" It reminded me of something I loved during COVID—the fact that people kept a respectful distance. If you’re one of those people who invade others’ personal space, you’re not only walking through their energy, but you might also be carrying negative energy without even realizing it. I’ve noticed this in traffic too—people do the strangest things and then look at you like you’re the crazy one.
3. People Are Getting Angrier
People seem to get angry so easily now, not able to control their emotions. In my town, when you ask someone for something, they often respond with, "Don’t get angry, but can you get me another one?" Really?
I was at the supermarket recently, and as I was paying, the cashier told me to give her my empty bags. I said, "Okay." She responded, "Thank God you didn’t get upset!" I was surprised. I said, "Why would I be angry? It’s a simple request." She said, "Because some people get angry over it." I thought, it’s become the norm to get angry about the smallest things.
I’ve noticed in recent years that you have to carefully measure your words with some people. It's like walking on eggshells. And you know what? I’ve cut these people out of my life. I need to be myself. If I can’t do that, it drains my energy. And if you want to survive in this world or rise to the next level, one thing you absolutely must master is protecting your energy.
4. More Jealousy and Envy
Jealousy and envy have become more prevalent. Jealousy and envy are low emotions because of the disconnection with people’s true self. I believe that in the coming years, you’ll see more people showing their true colors. Mark my words.
5. Values and High Standards Are Being Cast Aside: Instant Gratification
There’s been a noticeable decline in morals, high values, and standards, especially in dating. People are having sex too quickly and young children are engaging in sexual activity at earlier ages than ever before. The rise in sex trafficking is also disturbing.
If you still hold onto your high values and standards, you may feel like an alien in today’s world. Does this resonate with you?
The Good Is Now Bad, and the Bad Is Now Good!
The Dating Program
I watched a dating show recently, and I was ashamed to be a woman. The female candidates were discovered on Instagram, displaying almost everything for attention. One lesson I learned at a young age is to respect myself and my body. The way you dress is the way you’ll be treated. If you’re looking to attract a high-value partner, ask yourself: why are you exposing yourself like that? Do you think a man will see you as marriage material? Think again.
The Dating Landscape
In the dating world, sex is often expected as part of the process, even normalized. And it’s common for people to date multiple people at once. The high standards and values that once existed were there for a reason. Sex too early in the dating phase more likely sends the message that you’re only interested in playing around. It’s about getting to know each other, exploring IF there is a deeper connection: it’s not about instant gratification.
In today fast paced world, we want everything fasttt…. We want it yesterday…
The Impact on Children
Children engaging in sexual activity at younger ages is alarming. Young children, as young as 12, are becoming sexually active, and it’s affecting them in profound ways. These children are not emotional ready. Is it any wonder that young people struggle with depression and anxiety? It’s not always about home life or bullying; it’s about an environment that’s pushing them to grow up too fast.
6. Bullying Is on the Rise
A recent survey from the Boys & Girls Clubs of America shows that bullying is increasing. Forty percent of students reported being bullied on school property, and of those, 55% never told an adult. This rise in bullying is unsurprising to me. A bully is someone who is also in a low vibrational state, acting like a parasite. And in these darker times, there’s a greater number of people exuding negative energy. They are constantly comparing themselves, seeking happiness outside of themselves, instead of looking within.
7. The Mental Health Crisis
More people are struggling with mental health issues, especially young people. Anxiety and depression are on the rise. Studies show that 43% of adults report feeling more anxious than the previous year. Depression rates have also risen from 18.5% to 21.4%. Mental distress among college students has soared, with 80% reporting some form of distress due to the pandemic.
8. Politics Is at an All-Time Low
The low vibration that I have been talking about, manifests everywhere, of course in politics too. Locally, where I live, this lower vibration manifest in more and more discussions (fighting) when you hear the news. A lack of maturity, fueled by jealousy and envy. Particularly in leadership, seems to be at an all-time low. As I’ve said before, all of this stem from people being in low vibrational states, disconnected from their true selves.
Breaking Free from Dark Times: Raising Your Energy and Be Present

The origin of all the behaviors mentioned above stems from one thing: being in a low vibrational state. Many people are not present. They are disconnected from their true selves. And let’s be honest—especially after COVID, this disconnection has intensified. Why after COVID, is their a connection to the vaccines?! It’s a question worth exploring. The truth is, many people who received the injections seem more spiritually disconnected than ever. This is compounded by factors such as:
o Improper use of devices
o Multitasking
o Self-comparison
o Jealousy
o Envy
o Materialism
Why Are People Not Present?
Why do so many people feel distant from themselves? Why do they struggle to be present? The root cause lies in the energetic state they’re in—one of disconnection and low vibration. When you’re not in tune with your true self, life becomes a cycle of mindless behaviors, stress, and a sense of emptiness. The constant noise, the pressure of multitasking, and the influence of materialistic values only serve to amplify this disconnect.

How to Break Out of This Dark Time…How to be Present
This guide provides a step-by-step approach to help you break free from toxicity.
To break free from these dark times, you need to take two crucial steps.
Step 1: Close the Faucet
What does this mean? It’s about stopping the habits and behaviors that keep you stuck in a low vibrational state. Identify the patterns in your life that drain your energy, and make a conscious effort to eliminate them.
Exercise 1: Identify and Change Energy-Draining Habits
Ask yourself:
Which habits keep me in a low vibration?
What robs me of my energy?
What stops me from achieving my goals or causes me to procrastinate?
Examples of Habits to Change:
1. Stop Multitasking
Focus on one task at a time. Being fully present in what you’re doing allows your
energy to flow, and you’ll be more effective and fulfilled.
2. Time-Restricted Phone Usage
Limit the time you spend on your devices. Constant scrolling and notifications take
you out of the present moment and drain your energy.
3. Turn of all notifications
This will help you to minimize distractions to stay focused and connected with the
here and now.
4. Stop Eating Junk Food, Crappy Food, and Sugar:
These foods not only affect your physical health but also impact your mental and
emotional state. Choose whole, nutritious foods that support your body and mind.

It’s not just about stopping physical habits (actions). You also need to address limiting thoughts and emotional patterns.
Change Limiting Beliefs and Stories
Your beliefs shape your reality.
Key principle: Change your story = Change your life.
Exercise 2: Rewrite Your Limiting Beliefs
Identify Limiting Beliefs
What lies have you been telling yourself about money, relationships, your body, or your
self-worth?
Question Their Validity
Are these beliefs true?
Create a New Story
o Write down empowering beliefs to replace the old ones.
o Use affirmations and repeat them daily. Your mind will start to believe them through
consistent repetition.
Recondition Your Mind
For 21 days or more, read both the old belief and the new empowering one to
condition your mind.
Step 2: Raise Your Energy
This step involves more than just changing your habits; it’s about making a deliberate decision to elevate your energy and shift your mindset. Choose to move out of the low vibration and start living from a place of high energy. Reconnect with what truly matters—your values, passions, and the essence of your authentic self.
The most imperative step to raise your energy is to change how you feel, change your emotions!
Why Do You Feel Certain Emotions?

Focus = feeling!
Bad feelings, emotions- bad quality of life
If you think, feel and tell yourself every day: life sucks, it is hard, it is a battle. It is your perception of life, life will respond to youuuu by giving you more and more experiences to validate what you are feeling.
What we focus on control our lives!
LIFE IS NOTHING MORE THAN A MIRROR REFLECTING WHAT YOUUUUUUU ARE FEELING!!!
Take Ownership
It’s not your neighbor, spouse, children, or boss—it begins with YOU.
o Are you reacting instead of responding to people and/or situations?
o Why are you choosing to avoid responding in some cases? (choose silence)
This was for me a process ….learn to respond not to react. This is the power of choice!
Exercise 3: Shift Your Emotions
How do you see life?
What are you focusing on every day?
Take a moment to reflect on why you’re experiencing certain emotions.
Why are you feeling angry, sad, depressed, anxious or frustrated?
Use meditation to uncover the deeper layers of these emotions.
Recognize your emotional patterns
Begin responding thoughtfully to situations instead of reacting impulsively.
6. Choose Your Emotional Home
Decide on the emotional state you want to live in most often—your "emotional home."
This can be: joy, gratitude, happiness. It helps you align your thoughts and especially
your actions with this emotions.
Change your emotions- change your life. Your emotions dictate how you feel!

Releasing what no longer serves you. (thoughts, emotions and actions)
Changing your mindset and reconnecting with what truly matters—your spirit.
By taking these steps, you’ll begin to shift out of a low vibrational state and embrace a life filled with higher energy, presence, and fulfillment.
